Leading infection awareness charity The Bella Moss Foundation (BMF) is launching a host of free veterinary tools at this year’s BSAVA Congress and needs your help letting the profession know. BMF works tirelessly to raise public awareness and give tailored advice to owners coping with antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in their pets – as well as galvanising the vet profession to take up the fight against AMR. This congress, BMF is launching a range of materials for vets including;
  • Free comprehensive practice guidelines on infection control, authored by leading vets and VNs working in emergency and critical care and practice standards
  • Waiting room posters aimed at educating owners - especially timely given the launch of National Pet Month this month
  • A vet survey, in partnership with the RVC, hoping to shine a light on the profession’s true usage of antibiotics Take Survey

Friday 4th April on our stand between 12-15 - 1pm there is a conduct one-to-one interviews with two of the infection guidelines’ lead authors – RCVS practice standards Pam Mosedale and EEC VN Louise O’Dwyer – on the BMF stand on Friday April 4 from 12-2pm. The Bella Moss Infection Control Guidelines have been created by the charity’s top veterinary advisors in response to the wide-ranging approaches to infection control seen in everyday practice. Authors include vet and RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) Pam Mosedale, RVN Louise O’Dwyer and Edinburgh-based dermatologist Dr Tim Nuttall.
